The Montgomery County, Texas, jail division has a staff of 266 sworn and civilian personnel. The jail is commanded by the Major Administration, Major Andy Eason. There are five lieutenants and 16 Sergeants who also provide supervision twenty-four hours every day of the year. The Montgomery County Jail Houses inmates of felony as well as misdemeanor crimes. Some inmates are awaiting trial, while others are serving sentences. Some inmates convicted of felonies will be transferred to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.

The Sheriff of Montgomery County, Texas, is Rand Henderson, who oversees Central Jail Records, Classification, Medical Department, Food Services, Jail Chaplain, Commissary, Laundry, Inmate Grievances, Law Library, Mail, and Transportation.

Visitation has been extended to include Public Visitation, and all visits must be scheduled online 24 hours in advance. You can schedule visits at https://mcsojailvisitation.mctx.org/visitation. An inmate is allowed only two visitors at a time. Masks are optional, and the visiting areas are limited to 30% capacity. Visits are scheduled by appointment only during normal visitation periods. Currently, inmates range from 25 years to 60 years.
