The Montgomery County, Texas, jail division has a staff of 266 sworn and civilian personnel. The jail is commanded by the Major Administration, Major Andy Eason. There are five lieutenants and 16 Sergeants who also provide supervision twenty-four hours every day of the year. The Montgomery County Jail Houses inmates of felony as well as misdemeanor crimes. Some inmates are awaiting trial, while others are serving sentences. Some inmates convicted of felonies will be transferred to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
